LA Body Coach is a Fitness and Nutrition Company integrating Personal Training, a Clothing Brand, publishing, and wellness products.
Personal Training
Servicing the greater Los Angeles area, LA Body Coach takes a holistic approach in educating and serving the fitness community. All Personal Trainers meet with Clients to craft out a diet & training regimen that suits their needs while at the same time debunking any urban myths about dieting and fitness in general. Since its formation, LA Body Coach has transformed many lives through muscle building, injury rehabilitation, weight loss, and nutritional coaching.
We offer programs tailored to each individual Client's needs. Our method focuses on developing good, long-lasting fitness habits beyond short-term results. We start in the kitchen, discussing the foods people are eating and creating a Nutrition Plan that works for a specific Client's lifestyle. We then move on to the Fitness Plan, where we offer in-gym coaching, at home training, and online coaching to help achieve a person's goals.
Clothing Line
We recently launched our Clothing Line in June of 2017. A total of 19 items were released in a Limited Edition line for men and women. All items are high-quality and are screen-printed on recognized name-brand garments like Gildan, Next Level, Alternative Apparel, and Bella+Canvas.
Additional releases and styles are planned for the future, with seasonal items being distributed each quarter.
Books and E-Publishing
Our first in a series of books will be released within the next 12 months. Having transformed so many lives through a holistic approach to fitness, LA Body Coach Founder Mike Lynn has received many requests to publish a book outlining his unique approach. He is currently hard at work researching data and outlining his methods so that this first publication can be the best it can be.
LA Body Coach currently publishes short articles and fitness tips through its social media channels. These help address any current trends, fads, and general concerns the public may have on new fitness & health information reported.
Upcoming Projects & Business Opportunities
The LA Body Coach Team is currently working on a variety of wellness & fitness products and services. These will be revealed over the next 12 months as we finalize details, establish new partnerships, and expand into new markets. Mike originally became interested in fitness back in Michigan during the late 1980's, intently following the careers and training tips of the elite bodybuilders. He often trained with "the big guys", who taught proper lifting techniques and pushed him beyond his perceived limits. He discovered that heavy strength training actually helped alleviate pain from childhood arthritis. The results were moderately impressive at the time and he often shared his knowledge by training others at the gym.
Mike's career path over the next decade limited his time and attention to body development- until 2003. A drunk driver struck his car, leaving him with major damage to the discs in his neck and severe chronic pain. After insurance no longer paid for supervised physical rehabilitation, he resumed his gym membership and continued his strength conditioning. Old training habits kicked in, soon resulting in muscular development well beyond anytime previously in his life.
At the urging of a friend, Mike entered his first bodybuilding competition in 2011. Bit by the "Bodybuilding Bug" and discouraged that he didn't win his weight class, he began relentlessly studying nutrition and the latest training techniques. After a couple more competition attempts, he placed 2nd in the Open Bantam Class in the 2013 California State Bodybuilding Championships. Currently he has four "top 5" finishes and despite being in his late 40's, still plans to compete in the "Open" category against much younger participants.
Age, injury and challenges did not stop Mike from achieving his goals. Now he instills his knowledge and motivation in his clients- to help them overcome their obstacles and achieve their fitness and nutrition goals.
